The Queens Hotel is a former Victorian Villa situated on the Esplanade in Oban with wonderful views across Oban Bay. The hotel is within pleasant walking distance of Oban town centre and many interesting shops and attractions. An intimate and friendly hotel, the Queens is the perfect location for a relaxing break in Oban and to enjoy a high standard for accommodation and cuisine, take a day trip from Oban to Mull, Iona, Glencoe and Inveraray with its castle and jail!

Delightfully situated on the Esplanade in Oban with magnificent views across the Firth of Lorne to the hills of Lorne. The Oban Bay has a unique feel with its welcoming foyer and bar combined with the full-length sun lounge with spectacular views across the bay. The hotel has an excellent reputation for food, utilising local produce, especially seafood. Guests can choose from a four-course table d’hote menu or a la carte. Oban is a superb location for exploring islands off the west coast of Scotland including Iona and Mull.

Centrally located on the Esplanade in Oban, the Regent hotel comprises two distinct styles of architecture. The original building is Victorian and the modern extension, built in the 1930’s, is Art deco in style and now listed as a classic example. The restaurant offers a choice of table d’hote or a la carte menus both of which utilise the best of local produce. Many of the rooms offer magnificent views across Oban Bay. The hotel is close to the pier and convenient for taking the ferry to Mull and Iona.

With 91 double and single guestrooms, some overlooking the town square, the Royal Hotel offers comfortable, affordable accommodation. Built in 1895, the hotel offers traditional Scottish hospitality and dining with its Morvern Restaurant and whiskey lounge bar.

The Oban Bay is located on the edge of Dunollie Wood and the Esplanade overlooking Oban Bay and the Firth of Lorne. Originally a large private house the hotel has been tastefully extended to include spacious and modern bedrooms, an open plan foyer lounge and bar.

There are wonderful views across Oban Bay and along the sound of Kerrera. The restaurant, lounge and many bedrooms at the Queens Hotel enjoy a view from the mouth of Oban Bay to the town itself and the length of the Firth of Lorne. From its quiet location, walks to Ganavan Sands (little Ganavan 1/2 mile), Dunollie Castle, the Witches Walk and Oban town centre are all pleasant distances.

The Regent, externally, is a combination of a Victorian private hotel with an almost perfect example of 1930's Art Deco design. Internally both buildings merge to provide an open and airy ambience with an array of well positioned public foyers and lounges. As a town centre hotel the Regent cannot offer private parking although there is ample on-street parking on the adjacent pier. This 'disadvantage' does however mean that Oban's many shops, the distillery, the ferry terminals and stations are all within easy walking distance.

We have been awarded the FHG Diploma for 'Holiday Accomodation of the Highest Standard'. The Donn famiy welcomes you to their home and small hotel. The rooms are cosy and individually decorated in a traditional style in keeping with the 100 year old building. Rooms to the front have magnificant views over Oban bay. The hotel is ideal for ferry, train and bus travellers due to its location,. However we do not have a car park, the nearest pay and display car park is behind the hotel. If you plan to visit the islands during your stay, we will provide a full cooked breakfast at 7.00am to allow you to catch the early boat if you wish. If you wish to bring your pet on holiday they will be made very welcome, although they must be supervised at all times. Golf, fishing, horse-riding, sailing and swimming are all available within a short distance. Please note that as the hotel has a pets welcome policy it may not be suitable for people with pet alergies. There is a central feature staircase in the hotel (and no lift), however the lowest bedrooms are on the second floor. As a small family run hotel we hope that your stay with us will feel more like a home from home rather than just a hotel as it has been our home for 27 years.
