The current stone structure was begun in the 18th century and has recently been sensitively restored to a delightful, comfortable, rustic and romantic mountain hotel. The property sits on 180 acres and is surrounded by pine and oak forests... such tranquility. It's is quite an approach!!! A 5km track leads to this beautiful, wild, unspoilt rural hotel in the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees. On the two upper floors of the main house there are eight bedrooms, each with its own modern spacious bathroom. In a converted stable attached to the main building there are a further two bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom and private entrance. The rooms have underfloor heating, hairdryer in the bathroom, telephone and stereo and each is differently decorated in warm tones with comfortable furniture and stylish good taste; all have spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and two have south-facing private terraces. On the first floor is the dining room with open fireplace. Most of dinner's ingredients come straight from the garden so couldn't be fresher...(Seasonal garden) We describe our cousine as seasonal and regional. Perfect relaxation and tranquility for any time of the year... On the second floor there is a lounge with an open fireplace - You really feel at home in this Casa... Located at 1,224 meters of altitude, on a slope that dominates the valley of Tena. The origins of this stone house made of wood and slate go back to 1470, when it used to be an abbey. Juan Ignacio Perez and his wife, Anabel Costas, have reconverted this small and charming mountain hotel in an establishment of great category. All 28 rooms have been designed by the architect Luis Serrano. between the family houses that define the village of Tramacastilla de Tena, surrounded by pine groves, oak and meadows. The bare stone walls contribute to the rustic touch of the rooms with essentially modern furniture, although well integrated. All the rooms are different, although they share the warm light and the crude tones: Tramacastilla and Sandinies, with an attic; Piedrafita and Escarrilla, this last one with window on the lessee; and Quiñón of the Partacua, an extensive suite with its own hall. For disabled people we are a suite with views to the valley and a superior doble with sloping ceilings. The biggest is a suite with 100 m2 and the most wonderful view in the valley. We are near of two ski resorts Panticosa and Formigal(4 km. and 12 Km) and for cross country we have one in the our village.From the hotel we can inform about adventure sports, ravine descent, rafting,hidro-speed, canoeing, treking, rappelling,via ferrata.
